The Cloven Hoofs Motorcycle Club was founded in Terre Haute, Indiana in the spring of 1969. The founder and visionary,  Jim Swander better known as 'Moondog' organized the club on the premise of "Booze Bikes and Broads!" An idea that is still upheld by our members today.

Throughout the years, the club has expanded its presence to various locations including Terre Haute, Bloomington, Greensburg, Crawfordsville, and Monticello, Indiana as well as Marshal, Illinois.

In order to be a member of the club, one must ride a Harley Davidson motorcycle: no exceptions. The club organizes several public events throughout the year. One in particular goes hand in hand with our rule of only riding Harley Davidsons. This event, one that we are most proud of, is the annual spring swap meet. To date, our swap meet is the second largest and oldest club-sponsored motorcycle swap meet in Indiana.
